Niraja Pahuja
Niraja Pahuja is a multicultural artist with a rich foundation in Holistic Counseling and an unwavering passion for creative expression. Her journey with ceramics began as part of her exploration into art therapy, a venture that soon became a transformative and deeply fulfilling passion. What started as a few casual lessons to learn the basics quickly grew into a heartfelt love for this versatile and expressive art form. Initially, Niraja crafted pots for herself, her friends, and her family—each piece is a joyful testament to the beauty of creating something by hand.
As her artistry blossomed, Niraja’s work took on a distinctive voice of its own. She draws endless inspiration from India’s breathtaking architectural marvels and the vibrant energy of tribal art, seamlessly blending intricate linework with the geometric patterns found in temples, monuments, and palaces. Her creations are a harmonious mix of contemporary innovation and traditional craftsmanship, often brought to life through slab-building and coiling techniques, with exquisite surface decorations that tell a story of their own.
With her expertise in the Sgraffito technique, Niraja uses slips, underglazes, and oxides to transform her imagination into tangible beauty. Every piece she creates is truly one-of-a-kind, radiating its own essence and character—a heartfelt celebration of culture, creativity, and the timeless joy of handmade art.
